Jam-Packed East Texas Weekend: Tattoos, Baseball, and a Princess Party
A welcomed rare summer cool front moved through East Texas Wednesday afternoon sending temperatures 'plunging' a good 10 to 15 degrees below normal. Anytime we can experience a high temperature in the 80s in July we'll take it!
This cool down from the upper 90s and 100s appears as if it will stick around for a while. During the cooldown, East Texas is poised to receive more rainfall than normal and anytime that happens in July we'll take it too!
But, as we all know those brutal summer temperatures will be back for August and September, but at least for now it's a break because our lawns will green up some and not appear a burnt brown from the summer sun!
During this cool down manicuring the lawn will not be such a beating either. So if you've been meaning to clean up the flowerbeds or mow the lawn this could be your weekend to do it, but you may need to dodge a stray shower or thunderstorm.

With cooler temperatures, we'll be looking for some things to do this weekend, both indoors and out.
Here's a look at this weekend's event happening across East Texas.

'Grease' @ Tyler Civic Theater
Friday - Sunday
Tyler Civic Theater - Tyler
Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical.
Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'," "It's Raining on Prom Night," "Alone at the Drive-In Movie" recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation.
Don't miss the Musical that inspired the popular 1979 movie adaptation with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John! This is a ticketed event.
