This Weekend in East Texas: 17 Events You’ll Love
(Mix 93-1) Friday Night Lights Shine Across East Texas
High school football season is heating up, district titles are on the line, and the playoffs are just around the corner. East Texas fans will be underneath those Friday night lights, ringing cowbells and milk jugs full of pebbles to make noise as their favorite team drives down the field for the winning score!

Fairs, Food, and Festivals This Weekend
After the game on Friday night, it's time for some weekend fun, and this is the time of year when there is no shortage of events and festivals going on in East Texas. If you're craving fair food like corn dogs, smoked turkey legs, strawberry-covered funnel cakes, cotton candy, and fresh-squeezed lemonade, we know of a couple of places where you can satisfy that craving this weekend.
Don’t Miss These Massive Garage Sales
If you're looking for bargains, well, don't pass up a good garage sale. On my way home this week, I noticed several garage sale signs on utility poles, announcing a local garage sale. Plus, this weekend it’s one of the nation’s longest garage sales right here in East Texas.
Pumpkins, Haunted Houses, and Fall Fun
Between the events and the garage sales, many East Texans will be searching for that perfect pumpkin and carving it into a Jack-o-lantern or searching for those pumpkins to complete their fall front door display, while others look for that adrenaline-rushing fright from an area haunted house.
