What Is The Most Iconic Restaurant In Texas?
When it comes to eating, Texans have no shortage of places to choose from.
No matter what you're in the mood for, you will definitely find a restaurant that will satisfy your taste buds. Here in East Texas we have some pretty good long time establishments that put out some great food - from Mexican to BBQ to fine dining - along with being state-wide award winning restaurants too!
Now I've traveled our great state from time to time and along the way I've dined in some fantastic restaurants in Amarillo, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin and San Antonio and have eaten at some iconic places like:
- The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo
- Joe T. Garcia's in Ft. Worth
- Cloud 9 Cafe at Reunion Tower in Dallas
- Voodoo Donuts in Austin
- Casa Rio on the Riverwalk in San Antonio
But which restaurant, out of all the restaurants in Texas is the most iconic? According to Thrillist, Salt Lick in Austin is the most iconic restaurant in Texas. Salt Lick has been serving up millions of pounds of brisket each year since 1967 and remains one of the state's most popular restaurants.
Not everyone will agree with this and that's why our state is the best! Out of the thousands of restaurants in Texas, which one do you feel is the most iconic? Let me know in the comment section below.
