There was recently another murder in Nacogdoches.
According to KTRE Jermiah Jarmma Warren, 19, of Nacogdoches, was found in a wooded area behind Summit Living Orton Hill Apartment Homes, formerly known as Eastwood Terrace at 2817 EJ Campbell Blvd.

This is the southeast side of Nacogdoches.

On the southwest side of town in March, Hernana Cuarenta, 17, of Nacogdoches, shot a man dead in a family member's front yard on North Popp Street.

It shows the neighborhoods that were affected by these two murders are in an area with the same average crime rate (D) as the rest of the town.
Between University and North Street is a high-crime area because of the businesses there attracting theft, and it is not necessarily representative of the neighborhood.
The darker red areas are the worst affected by crime.

If you are looking to move to the Nacogdoches area, you want to live in an area with the most green. The northeast side of Nacogdoches outside the loop is the safest place to live, and is marked in green.
