East Texas has seen its fair share of severe weather over the past month or so and it appears as if we could see another round of such weather again this afternoon. KLTV 7 meteorologists are predicting the formation of scattered areas of severe thunderstorms after 1 p.m. this afternoon. The storms will be associated with a dry line that will move into East Texas in advance of a low pressure system that will be capable of producing storms that could produce strong damaging winds in excess of 60 m.p.h., large hail and a few isolated tornadoes. Rainfall amounts should be less than an inch with these storms.

Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning will be severe weather alert times. Mix 93-1 will keep you updated as to changing weather conditions and severe weather threats along with the meteorologists in the First Alert weather center at KLTV 7.
