Hard to believe we’re already into the final three episodes of Game of Thrones Season 6, but for jaws left agape after this past Sunday’s Arya twist, we’ve got good news and bad. Not only will “No One” put the surviving littlest Lady Stark through a new test, but the first synopsis reveals a difficult choice for Jaime.

Even as Game of Thrones gets into the back half of Season 6, we’ve yet to hear much word from HBO after reports suggested that Seasons 7 and 8 might have only thirteen episodes between them. Now, word from “The Door” director Jack Bender seemingly confirms that Season 7 would have only seven episodes, potentially with directors already mapped out.

Now that we’ve put that big Hodor twist (and hopefully its jokes) behind us, Game of Thrones has even more “Blood of My Blood” to spill by the looks of next Sunday’s photos. Arya seems ready to complete her first assassination, while a deadly public conflict with the High Sparrow looms, but is another big death waiting in the wings?

Lord knows we’ve missed the genius of Jon Stewart’s late-night voice in these troubled times, and it’s been some time since HBO signed the former Daily Show host to a four-year development deal. We wouldn’t expect Stewart to suit up again behind a desk just yet, but HBO now believes the late-night veteran will return to active TV duty just in time for the 2016 election.

Unless you’ve been living on Mars for the last week, in a cave, with your eyes shut and your fingers in your ears, you may have heard something of Beyoncé’s visual album event, Lemonade. Well, if its position as the most pirated series four years running hadn’t clued you in, Game of Thrones is a fairly popular television series. So much so, in fact, unbelievable anticipation for the Season 6 premiere shockingly brought its highest ratings yet (with a caveat or two), while HBO’s preview weekend may actually have curbed piracy.

It’s been some time since we learned that Game of Thrones was likely to earn a seventh and eighth season renewal, which in recent weeks turned to reports of just 13 episodes between, but we’ve at least gotten an update. HBO has officially renewed the fantasy smash for Season 7 at least, without offering much further detail.

It’s an annual traditional we know all too well. Spending 10 weeks enraptured by the sex, blood and drama of the Seven Kingdoms, watching our favorite characters killed off by season’s end, then finding ways to survive a whole year without ‘Game of Thrones.’ Luckily we’re only days from the Season 6 premiere, but this year will be unlike the others. Now that the series has surpassed George R.R. Martin’s books, show and book fans, as well as critics, will enter ‘Game of Thrones’ knowing as much as Jon Snow. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be prepared; you should be very prepared.

Game of Thrones Season 6 has spent so much time stirring speculation of Jon Snow and other characters closest to the action, we forget about those off on their own in the world of Westeros. Case in point, catch up with Sam and Gilly in yet another new clip from the coming sixth season!

You could say that Game of Thrones is a popular television program. People tend to follow its production, from time to time, and speculate on its future, one might suggest. You could also say that Season 6 has some anticipation around it. This epic second trailer for the April premiere would not dissuade this notion. Please, remain calm as you watch.
