Gilmer Buckeyes and Daingerfield Tigers Go For State Titles Today

The practices began in the middle of August when it was one hundred degrees preparing for games with one goal in mind - the state championship title game! A couple of East Texas teams have reached that goal and are one win away from gaining that title. The Daingerfield Tigers and Gilmer Buckeyes are playing in their final games today at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

The road to the championship games continue for several East Texas high school football teams. On that road are John Tyler, Chapel Hill and Tatum and they'll be playing again Friday night. Brook Hill claimed their title this past weekend against Austin Regents for the first time in 3 years.

Tomorrow night Lobo Stadium in Longview is going to be live, rowdy and loud with a very important game happening underneath its lights! The Lobo game, originally scheduled for Friday night, has been moved to Thursday night (tomorrow) at 7p, so that it can be televised on Fox Sports Southwest. This will be the last district game for the Lobos as they take on undefeated DeSoto for the District 11 5A title.
