According to Reviews, This is Texas’ Best sandwich

One thing I love is a GOOD sandwich, and luckily for me, there are all kinds around Texas. 

For me, a sandwich I think about often is from a little restaurant in Uptown Dallas. I can't remember its name now, but they have a fantastic turkey pesto sandwich and delicious fries.

While that's my top favorite right now, I know there are so many delicious sandwich places in Texas. Another that comes to mind is from a BBQ joint in my city, Tyler, Texas. Locals for sure know the business and have likely seen or eaten the sandwich I'm talking about -- the Mother Clucker from Stanley's Famous Pitt Bar-B-Q.

But with so many delicious options, how do you find the consensus for the best sandwich in Texas?

Luckily, Yelp did the work for us

Yelp is a popular place to rank restaurants and foods. While sometimes the ratings can seem a little off (to me anyway) there are times the platform gives out some pretty good information.

Like the best BBQ in Texas, the best ice cream, or, in this case, the best sandwich in the state.

According to rankings from Yelp, Texas' best sandwich is in Montgomery at an Italian deli called Tony's Italian Delicatessen. The highly-rated sandwich is called the F. Sinatra, with soppressata, Genoa salami, and balls of fresh mozzarella.

According to reviews, the restaurant has great service and "enormous" sandwiches.

Tony's Italian Delicatessen also came in at #7 on Yelp's 2023 list of the 'Top 100 Places to Eat in Texas.'

Surrounding states also have some pretty great-sounding top sandwiches

Oklahoma's top sandwich from a place called The Mule sounds VERY good. The place specializes in gourmet grilled cheeses, and the top sandwich called the Macaroni Pony has chipotle BBQ pulled Pork, mac & cheese, American cheese, and pickles between jalapeno cornbread. YUM!

If you're up for the trip, you could even try the top sandwich in New Mexico at Coda Bakery in Albuquerque; or Louisiana's top sandwich at the Milk Bar in New Orleans.
