Elementary students in Arp are part of a competition right now that could earn them some new playground equipment, but they need our votes.

Arp Elementary is one of about 500 schools competing in the Clorox Company's Power A Bright Future Program, and as of Monday they were ranked 4th! Here's how we can help.

In three weeks time, Arp has gone from being ranked 59th all the way to 4th. They're still about 100,000 votes shy of the #1 spot, and the school is asking us to spread the word and go vote.

Rules for the Clorox promotion say adults and children 13 and older can vote through midnight Wednesday by texting 2216pbf (the pbf stands for Power a Bright Future) to 95248. We can also vote online at Power a Bright Future.com.

The school has a chance to win $50,000 for playground renovation.

Here's our chance to have a positive impact on the lives of some elementary students. In the wake of all that has happened nationally in the past few days, let's do something positive and vote! Good luck Arp Elementary.
