Beloved Texan Matthew McConaughey Launches YouTube Channel
"Alright, alright, alright." It was the first thing Longview native Matthew McConaughey said on the silver screen, and now it has become the first thing the Oscar winner ever said on his own YouTube Channel.

McConaughey may be the coolest orator the world has even known, and while I'm not sure why he is just now launching his on YouTube channel, we can all speculate. I mean, the rumors swirling behind the global superstar possible entering politics are getting louder and he's certainly not doing anything to quiet them.
Alright, Alright, Alright – welcome to my YouTube Channel! Let’s kick up some dust, tickle that funny-bone and take this journey together, sharing with you the ups, downs, and all arounds. So let’s giddy up.. Like, Subscribe, Ring that bell for notifications and just keep livin.
While only time will reveal exactly why he's started the channel, for now we'll just ring that bell for notifications and just keep livin' as Matthew so kindly suggested.
And, hey, if you missed the news last week; McConaughey has gathered a few of his famous friends for an all-star virtual event aimed at helping Texas recover from the tragic winter storm last month, and, yeah, "All-star" may be an understatement.
He's got basically every famous singing Texan on board for the benefit: Don Henley, George Strait, Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Post Malone, Gary Clark Jr., Parker McCollum, Randy Rogers, Kelly Clarkson and more.
The concert will take place Sunday, March 21st, beginning at 7pm CST on McConaughey's YouTube channel (which you already subscribed to). It'll be hosted by him and his wife, Camila, and will surely be a Sunday night to remember.
