Daughtry Keeps Fighting for a Relationship in ‘Battleships’ Video

Daughtry takes the idea of a sinking relationship and illustrates it quite literally. In his 'Battleships' video, the former 'American Idol' contestant takes fans behind the scenes of his tour while he fights to salvage love.

The video itself is a closeup of Daughtry's life on the road. From photo shoots to hanging out on the tour bus to prepping for a show, no stone is left unturned. It's a chaotic lifestyle, made all the more complicated as the singer explains his relationship is on the rocks.

"And I don’t wanna fight this war / Bullets coming off our lips / But we stick to our guns and we love like battleships / Like battleships," Daughtry sings.

The lyrics of the song are incredibly emotional, but the most poignant moment of the video comes when Daughtry, clad in a somber black tee, asks if the couple can finally put down their weapons.
