When it comes to helping out neighbors, whether it be next door, in another community or state, East Texans are very generous and right now many East Texans are looking for ways to help the people of Moore, OK recover after Monday's devastating EF5 tornado that caused catastrophic damage throughout their city.

The things that the people of Moore, OK will be needing immediately are things like bottled water, Gatorade, non-perishable food/snack items, gloves, diapers, baby food formula and sanitary wipes are among the necessities right now, in addition, toiletries and personal hygiene items are needed followed by clothing and household items.

Family after family in that area have lost everything they own and this is when we as a country can come together to help out others in need. One way a local company is giving back and helping storm victims is by donating 15% of their sales from 3p to close today (May 22nd) to the American Red Cross. Lonestar Restaurants in Tyler and Longview will be participating with their brands Jersey Mike's Subs, Smashburger, Wingstop, TCBY and Rusty Taco.

Of course you can also make a donation to the Salvation Army and Red Cross through their respective websites and there are other opportunities throughout East Texas to make your donation, whether it be monetary or by donating items, many churches are accepting aid items too.
