Bullard -- A fire in the Bullard area this morning caused heavy damage to a home on Summerset Court. Smith County authorities say the blaze broke out around 4 a.m. Bullard, Flint, and Noonday firefighters responded to the blaze. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
Fires Break Out in Smith County
Tyler – Several fires in Smith County on Wednesday afternoon are under investigation. Firefighters were called to the Pets and Friends on Highway 110 North. A portion of the building was heavily damaged. A short time later, firefighters were called to a house fire on FM 850 where the blaze caused considerable damage. No injuries were reported in either fire.
Autopsy Ordered For Dead Woman on I-20
Longview -- Gregg County authorities are awaiting autopsy results to determine the identity of a woman's body found off Interstate 20 on Wednesday. Authorities say a hitchhiker discovered the body near the interstate and Estes Parkway, just outside of Longview.
Holloway's Father Wants Closure
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Natalee Holloway's father wants his daughter declared dead, more than six years after the 18-year-old disappeared during a high school trip to Aruba. An Alabama judge will hear the request today.

Marines Accused of Urinating on Taliban Corpses
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Marine Corps is investigating a video showing what appears to be four Marines urinating on the corpses of Taliban fighters. The Marine Corps says it hasn't verified the origin or authenticity of the YouTube video.
