Grab A Deal: Smith County's Spring Surplus Auction Now Live

Budgets are tight in East Texas and when you can find a deal on something you better seize it or it could be snatched up by someone else quickly.

Smith County has quite a few deals waiting for East Texas individuals, businesses, or other municipalities to take advantage of during the spring surplus action that is taking place online through May 21st.

The auction happening online at GovDeals and includes a wide variety of items up for bids.

If you're looking for a pre-owned vehicle maybe a work truck or a street sweeper, hey, who knows, you can bid on them right now and if you have the highest bid at the close of the auction, it's yours.

In all, there are more than two dozen vehicles that are being sold. Of course, all auction items are sold as is and come with no warranty, implied or expressed. What you see is what you get with no other assistance.

Smith County is placing these assets and others up for auction because they have outlived their usefulness or were replaced. Instead of just discarding the asset, the county is auctioning off these items and others to raise some capital to go towards future equipment and vehicle purchases and saving taxpayer dollars.

Do a quick search for 'county surplus actions' on Google and you'll see that cities throughout Texas, even state departments, are putting items up for auction. Some of these auctions have some cool items that you could bid on if you needed some unique items.
