Ed Sheeran Says, ‘Whataburger Bangs’, What-a-endorsement!

(Mix 93-1)  One of my favorite Texas burger stops has just been shouted out to and received some high praise from an international pop star.

Britain's favorite redhead, Ed Sheeran has been busy working on a new album slated to be released sometime in 2025 and is tentatively called 'Play'. He's currently on the road promoting the album's first single 'Azizam'. While on the promo tour, he recently made a stop by the studio of podcaster Alex Cooper and appeared on an episode of the podcast 'Call Her Daddy'.

While catching up on life and the kids, writing the new album, his fans, and more, he was asked about his favorite fast-food burger in America.

Without hesitation, he quickly replied with Five Guys. BUT, he came back and said,

But I'd say when I'm in America, Whataburger in Texas. I think that burger bangs the most in terms of all the burgers that I've had, Whataburger bangs.'

The Texas burger spot that got its start in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1950 just received a pretty big endorsement and a new catchphrase to go along with it.

The Whataburger and In-N-Out rivalry in Texas is settled by a British guy

Ed Sheeran did go on to say this about Whataburger's rival,

Yes, I do like In N out but I feel like there needs to be a wide lens view on a fast food restaurant and I don’t think In N Out’s chips bang. I’m sorry, their fries.'
