Guess Who the Majority of Texans are Rooting for in the World Series
A recent study revealed who most Texans are pulling for in the World Series and the results are kind of hard to believe.
Sometimes it’s hard to not be a hater of teams that have enjoyed enormous success over the years. I have a tendency to root for teams that haven’t had much success (unless they’re my favorite teams, of course). So, I guess you could say I’m the opposite of a bandwagon jumper.
The World Series this year features two of the most successful baseball franchises of all-time. The New York Yankees hold the record for World Series wins with a whopping 27 titles. The Los Angeles Dodgers are way behind them with 7 World Series wins.
Seeing as I’m a fan of neither team, you’ve probably already figured out that I’ll be rooting for the Dodgers in this year’s World Series.
Who are the Majority of Texans Pulling for in the 2024 World Series?
As you can see in the map below, I’m not in the majority this year as a study by the guys at Betonline.ag found that most Texans want the Yankees to win it all. Didn’t see that one coming.
The results are surprising to me because the two biggest fan bases in Texas are the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros. Both of which are American League teams like the Yankees.
My experience is that fans of the other 14 American League teams despise the Yankees. So, my guess is that the fans pulling for the Yankees are loyal to the AL. Or maybe there are just that many Yankee fans in the Lone Star State. I mean, they do travel quite well.
