Just In Time For Father’s Day – Texas Named Best Dad Country

A lot can be said about Texas - it's God's country, it's big sky country, it's like a whole other country ... now, we can officially add "Dad country" to the list.

Casino.betmgm.com decided ... because Father's Day is right around the corner I guess ... to rank the states with the highest "Dad Culture" scores. Overall, the southern states did the best on their list and Texas beat everybody, (except freaking Wyoming), to take 2nd.  Dammit Bobby, Hank Hill would be proud.

The Dad's in Wyoming got lucky. It's the 2nd least populated state in the USA so, other than looking at cows, there's not much else to do except love on Dad. I guess that's how they scored a perfect 100 on the Casino.betmgm.com list.

How The Results Were Determined

They looked at a whole bunch of Dad related online searches to figure out where a guy can really get his Dad on - sites that offer things like DIY projects, lawn and bbq products and info, Dad style, (cargo shorts, ), and sites with stuff only Dad's seem to want.

Weather radios, utility bill savings ideas, gas prices, pro sport schedules, insect repellants, etc. You know how they, (we, really - I'm one too.), can be. They also looked at official, census stuff like households with children under 18 and vehicle ownership.

How To Rank El Paso Dad's

Here are the searches that I think would paint the best picture of El Paso Dad-dom:

• The El Paso Chihuahuas and/or Locomotive sites
• Tequila - Don't roll your eyes and, "yeah right" me - youuuu know.
• Twin Peaks - Can't forget when Lingerie Nights are.
• Speaking Rock - Free rock concerts, the Dad day gift that they keep giving.
• Barnett Harley Davidson -Bike Night's back.
• KLAQ - Always loaded with cool stuff, (don't shake your head, you're reading this, right?) and Buzz Adams is the king of Dad jokes.

Forget the DIY, lawn care and bbq sites. E Chuco Dad's believe all that blackened gunk caked on the 50 year old bbq grill adds flavor and that weekends in general are not for working. They're for sipping tequila while watching mijo do all the yard work and making sure mija has plenty of ice cream. THAT'S an El Paso Dad.
