We've seen the construction in front of the Broadway Square Mall and now we'll finally get to taste the newest option for steak in Tyler, Longhorn Steakhouse. The restaurant is set to open it's doors Tuesday, January 28 according to theeasttexasweekend.com.

Instead of the typical ribbon cutting ceremony, in Texas fashion, there will be a lasso cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 28. There will also be a "special guest" on hand to cut the first steak.

Longhorn Steakhouse was started in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1981. Since then, the steakhouse has grown to over 500 locations across the United States and even some international locations including Qatar, El Salvador and Ecuador.

The Broadway Square Mall property has become a hot commodity lately with the addition of Dick's Sporting Goods in the former Sears area of the mall, Homegoods in a separate building on the South end of the property and other restaurants and retailers coming soon.

Get out and enjoy the newest steak option in East Texas.
