Mix 93-1 Celebrates It’s Sweet 16th Birthday

Mix 93-1 is sixteen years old!

Born at midnight on December 26, 2001, Mix 93-1 celebrates it's 16th birthday! We may not be able to get our license to drive and have a sense of independence like most sixteen year olds, but we're still just as excited because we're going just as fast as you are when you're listening as you drive, so we live vicariously through you!

Mix 93-1 was born after two months of airing all Christmas music during the Christmas holiday in 2001 and before that being an oldies station as Jammin' Oldies 93.1. Mix 93-1 debuted at midnight playing songs from the '80's, 90's and Today'. Growing up, Mix 93-1 has changed a bit since our debut sixteen years ago because our playlist has changed over time! We eventually dropped the songs from the 80's, then a while later the 90's disappeared and then we became 'Today's Hit Music'. Today, Mix 93-1 is a current based Top 40 station playing the hits you love the most and we really enjoy being 'East Texas #1 Hit Music Station'!

As we celebrate our sixteenth birthday today, we also celebrate with The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show because they have been waking up East Texas since our debut sixteen years ago!
