Mix 93-1 CTCU Teacher Of The Week January 2nd

Mix 93-1 and CTCU are proud to recognize outstanding teachers from our East Texas classrooms!

This week's recipient is Mrs. Hughes, a geometry and algebra teacher at Rusk High School.

Mrs. Hughes was nominated by a former student and had this to say about her.

Mrs. Hughes deserves this recognition because she has dedicated her life to teaching; changing and molding the minds of generations. She has a very pro active approach to teaching, the kids respond to her very well, and she makes all levels of math fun, and uses real life situations to make it more enjoyable to learn, and I've seen kids who have been lost in the cracks of the standardized testing to the point to where everyone would say this kid is going nowhere, and they put the kid in Mrs. Hughes class and by the end of the kid went from a D- student to an A- student, and got recognized from the President's Honor Roll, and years later this Student goes off to college and makes his mark on the world. She is an awesome lady, teacher, and her recognition is long over due so please give her this honor.
