This week's recipient is Jennifer Hutson of Owens Elementary in Tyler.

Mix 93-1 and Half Price Books are proud to recognize Ms. Hutson, a kindergarten teacher at Owens Elementary School in Tyler as the Mix 93-1 Teacher Of The Week. We thank her peer who nominated her for this award. Here's what they had to say about Ms. Hutson:

She is constantly offering after school tutorials to improve our learning ability she make sure every child meets his/her needs. She is a hero and I think she deserves to be recognized because she is a hard working teacher and doesn't know how appreciated she is.  It takes a special person to be a kindergarten teacher and help shape young minds and hearts. Jennifer Hutson is the perfect combination of leader and care giver to her precious class of 23 kinder babies. Besides teaching them their essentials in math, reading, writing, etc. She is teaching them to be independent, kind, and compassionate. We are extremely grateful for her guidance in getting these kiddos started off right in the world of "big kid" school.
