Need A Date – Facebook Launches A New Dating App

It's official everybody!

There is a new method of getting a date on Facebook instead of sending random inbox messages on other people's friends list including your own.

According to CNN, the social media giant has launched a new dating app called "Facebook Dating" and it's absolutely FREE to use.

They made the announcement Thursday (September 5th) and it will combine dater profiles with an algorithm that is dedicated to matchmaking and as a bonus it will also integrate the app with Instagram.

With this you will be able to include your Instagram posts directly on your Facebook Dating Profile and give the people the ability to add other Instagram followers to your Secret Crush list in addition to your friends list.

Charmaine Hung Product Manager for Facebook Dating is taking extreme caution to make sure they get it right with potential daters who will use the app.

We've been really slow, actually, with this rollout.  We really wanted to make sure we got it right because dating is so personal.

Facebook Dating will be available to everyone by the end of 2019.
