I read something this morning that just burns me up.  TJC is doing away with its cheerleading program.  NO Apache cheerleaders in the Fall.  I know,  it's a budget thing and the coach's salary is also being slashed..along with other things...but this just seems un-Texan.  I do want to point at that the article I read in Tyler Morning Telegraph states that

Although the college put the program on hold, they offered to honor cheerleader scholarships, which range from $600 to $1,000 a year, for qualified students"

I wonder how you're feeling about this if you're an alumnae?  I wonder how the players feel about no longer having a squad to cheer them on?  Care to vent?
