Spend one day pinned up in a shelter pen and you'd be desperate to find a family to love and adopt you too. That's why when you walk into a shelter or see one on TV, the dogs are barking loudly, they're trying to get your attention so they can give you unconditional love and affection.

Scarlet is no different. Scarlet has been in the care of Pets Fur People since she arrived there on August 13th. This young lady has dreams of running and playing with you and your kids at your home after her adoption.

Scarlet is a German Shepherd mix that is almost a year old and weighs about forty pounds. Pets Fur People's executive director Gayle Helms believes Scarlet would thrive as a member of an active family and will play great with the kids. Scarlet would make a perfect workout partner if you're an active walker or jogger.

Scarlet will go home with a starter kit of food, a collar and leash and a certificate for half-price basic obedience training from Tyler Obedience Training Club.

For additional information on adopting Cash call 903.597.2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm. The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas. Pets Fur People offers routine vaccinations, except for rabies, to the public for dogs and cats. Follow Pets Fur People on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
