According to probability, all lotto numbers should be pulled equally, right? In reality, it just doesn't work that way.

Historically, some numbers have been pulled significantly less than others in both the Powerball and Megamillions, two games that are both available to play in Texas.

Justgamblers, an online directory for gambling, looked at the numbers and found which ones are pulled the least.

Strangely, the top five least lucky numbers all have something in common, as you will see in the list of unlucky numbers below.

Does that mean you shouldn't play them if you pick your own numbers? Or will it eventually be those numbers "time to shine"? I'll let you decide.

Remember, no matter what numbers you choose, your odds of hitting the jackpot on the Powerball is 1 in 302,575,350, and your odds of winning Mega Millions is 1 in 292,201,338.

To put those numbers in perspective, you have a 1 in 9.7 million chance of being killed by a cow, meaning you are 31 times more likely to meet your bovine demise than win Megamillions.

Don't Play These Numbers If You Want To Win Big Lotto Bucks

Statistically speaking, all lottery numbers are created equal, right?

Wrong.

With random chance comes randomness, and these numbers have all proven to be duds time after time.
