Where can you find the best burgers in East Texas? How about the best BBQ? Best desserts?

For every question like this, you're going to get hundreds, maybe thousands, of different responses. That should come as no surprise since we all have different tastes and opinions.

Regardless, I still like scouring social media for influencers who sing praises of area eateries.

Number one - I'm curious.

Number two - I like to learn about restaurants I've never heard of, and hopefully get a chance to eat there.

Mr Chime Time and the Best Burger in Texas

For instance, back in 2023, I did a story about an influencer who goes by Mr. Chime Time. He's a big-time foodie and likes to share his nationwide experiences and critiques with his hundreds of thousands of followers.

He did a short video on what he called "...possibly the best burger in *** Texas."

The burger came from a deli inside a Chevron convenience store in Longview, Texas. Hundreds of folks commented, and I still want to make a trip to taste that burger.

Let me introduce you to Average Joe's Cookies. They serve the Greater Tyler area, but they do offer free shipping.

Their varieties include Dark Chocolate Chunk Pecan, Milk Chocolate Chunk Pecan, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Peanut Butter Chip, and Caramel Snicker Doodle.

They've amassed 123 reviews on their website, all of them 5 stars.

I recently found this video on Instagram from influencer MorganChomps. She told her 158,000+ followers just how much she loves Average Joe's Cookies (we'll give her a break on the way she pronounced 'pecan').

Of course, there are quite a few other stores in East Texas that sell delicious cookies. Crumbl Cookies and Insomnia Cookies come to mind. But, when it comes to a cookie store that doesn't even have a brick and mortar location, Average Joe's Cookies would be hard to beat.
