In a few days the sun will be out (at least until Sunday), it's Memorial Day Weekend and we live in a state full of lively people who like to do fun things on their weekends. 5th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
Saturday, May 27 - 8 am to 10 am at East Texas Crisis Center (Athens)

The men in the East Texas community band together at Fiddlers Festival in Athens to raise awareness to helop stop violence against women. They literally walk a mile in red high heel shoes.

Sunday Fun Day Family Matinee Train Ride
Sunday, May 28 - 1 pm to 5 pm at Rusk Train Depot
Price: One free child's ticket per adult ticket
A great way to introduce your kids to train travel among beautiful East Texas scenery. This Sunday your child's ticket is free with purchase of an adult ticket, so put on your conductor hat and hop on the tracks with your family!

Pittsburg Art & Wine Festival
Saturday, May 27 - 11 am to 8 pm at Pilgrim Plaza, Pittsburg

Over 50 Northeast Texas wineries, artisans, food trucks and more will be in downtown Pittsburg on Saturday. The weather is projected to be amazing, so stop *wining* about life!

Mark Hardin Memorial Air Race

The 7th Annual Mark Hardin Memorial Air Race is back with its 135-nautical mile course. Some aircraft have completed this race in under and hour! Plus there will be live music and food so you and your family can make a day of it.
