True Vine Brewing On The Square: Taprooms Final Night
(Tyler, Texas) Saturday evening will be 'LAST CALL' for one downtown Tyler business. True Vine Brewing Company On The Square announced via a social media posting on Monday (December 8) that its downtown location would be closing Saturday evening.

True Vine’s Five-Year Taproom Story
This downtown taproom has been serving up pints to downtown visitors and locals since 2020. The brewery says in its posting,
For us, beer has always been about community. From strangers becoming regulars, regulars becoming friends, and friends becoming part of our story. You gave us that gift for the past five years."
True Vine Brewery 'Last Call': Farewell Party Info
True Vine Brewing Company worked exhaustively to keep the taproom open. The decision to close the space was emotional, and it wasn't made lightly. The taproom will throw a farewell party Saturday (December 13) from 5–11 p.m., with live music by JT Wilkinson, plus specials on all beer pours and pizza.
Downtown Tyler Is Transforming
Downtown Tyler is currently undergoing a major transformation through the Downtown Improvement Project. This likely contributed to the decision to close True Vine's downtown taproom. With so much construction in the area, there is less foot traffic visiting the businesses. This isn't the only downtown area business feeling the squeeze; other downtown restaurants and bars are feeling the pressure of fewer customers lately.

Many businesses in the immediate downtown square area are being negatively impacted because of street closures and reconstruction, including the loss of sidewalk patio seating areas. These businesses are vital to downtown life. During this construction phase, downtown businesses are leaning more on local support than ever before.
How You Can Support Downtown Tyler Businesses During Construction
They encourage residents to stop in for a drink or dinner anytime, especially mid-week when things are much slower in the area.
While parking may be a challenge, residents need to rally around our downtown businesses and show them support during this transformation project. It is sad to see a local business close its doors; however, you can still enjoy the beers of True Vine Brewing at its Earl Campbell taproom on Earl Campbell Parkway in Tyler.
