Bogie holds on to a stat that he would soon like to forget and with your loving help he could leave this all behind him. Bogie is one of the longest-tenured residents of the Humane Society's Pets Fur People's Tyler shelter. Next month (August 15th), Bogie will mark two years of living in the shelter.

Bogie is an American white Shepherd mix and is a big guy, however, during his almost two-year stay he's been able to drop some weight. Since living with the other dogs and being quite active, he's shed about ten pounds since we've last spoken about him and now he's down to about eighty pounds.

Bogie has been featured as our Pet Of The Week a couple of times before and he's seen many other dogs come and go during his time at the shelter he's ready to move on too and live out his life with his furever home. Gayle Helms, executive director of Pets Fur People says Bogie is the sweetest guy you will ever meet. Gayle believes he would thrive in any home environment because he is pretty laid back, but is very playful, especially with other dogs. Bogie will go home with a starter kit of food, a collar, a leash and a certificate for half-price basic obedience training from Tyler Obedience Training Club.
