As we go about our day in Texas, we never fully understand who is around us at all times. The person walking by at the grocery store could be a neighbor, or it could be a wanted felony. Well, now there is one less wanted felon walking around the streets of Texas.

Just last week Texas law enforcement caught up with 37-year-old Estefania Primera also known as “La Barbie” and she was taken into custody.

What Did “La Barbie” Do?

Primera is known to have ties to a Venezuelan gang (Tren de Aragua) and was charged with human trafficking.

Charges Against Estefania Primera are Bad

As if human trafficking charges aren’t bad enough Primera once drugged a woman with fentanyl-laced pills and left her unconscious to be assaulted by men. There are other reports saying that she even used her own kids as drug mules.

Who Contacted Police About “La Barbie”

The woman who was forced into prostitution by Primera was able to escape and contacted police. Investigators were able to link Primera to a bigger criminal enterprise that was operating out of El Paso, that has since been shut down.

Primera would often brag about her lifestyle on social media in an attempt to look glamorous, so vulnerable people would want to join her. She was supposed to be monitored by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement since crossing the border in 2023, but she took her own ankle monitor off and had been running from police since then.

A gigantic thank you to all law enforcement officers who helped track down Primera and hold her accountable for her disgusting actions.
