Last year the Children's Miracle Network telethon reached a milestone, raising $1 million during the weekend telethon.

The goal this year was to surpass last year's record-breaking giving, and East Texans once again came through to support life-saving and life-sustaining equipment for local children!

This year's giving ended up at $1,037,695 at the end of the two-day telethon that was held at the CBS 19 studio.

Miracle children, miracle families and friends and supporters helped that total soar past last years giving. This money stays right here in East Texas and helps to purchase life saving equipment for sick and injured children right here in East Texas from the littlest born at Mother France's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to those that about to enter adulthood.

CMN director Robin Rowan told the Tyler Paper, "(This is) the biggest total board we’ve had in our 28-year history. We had just an amazing celebration. We couldn’t have asked for more support of our children. The children we serve are at Trinity Mother Frances and Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.”

Past Miracle Children were on hand during the telethon, including Jim Reynolds, Micah Read and Branden Young, as well as this year's Miracle Child, Carter Dingler, who's only 15 months old.

Thanks to all those who supported last year's Mix With Kids Children's Miracle Network Radiothon, because your contributions went into helping CMN reach more than $1 million dollars.

Mix 93-1 looks forward to the 17th annual Mix With Kids Children's Miracle Network Radiothon again this year on Aug. 20-21.
