Hey, are you seeing a trend here? I certainly hope so, because the second Saturday of each month in downtown Tyler is becoming a favorite destination for all East Texans. Whether you wander down on a whim, make a plan to meet a friend, or want to hang with the entire family, head down to 'Hit the Bricks' in downtown Tyler, on the second Saturday of each month. This month, that means March 9.

It starts around 10 a.m. in the morning and continues throughout the day (and night). Enjoy free parking in the parking garage and on the square itself, of course. No charge on the weekends, yo. If the weather's nice, take a ride on the open-air shuttle sponsored by Tyler Innovation Pipeline. There's a range of activities to check out, restaurants to enjoy, and a live music feast for your ears.

Like history? Take a stroll along the 'Half Mile of History.' This is a self-guided walking tour around the square downtown with a focus on people, places, and events of note in Tyler.  Here's more info on that for you.

March's theme highlights National Women's History Month and a special morning program of speakers is planned to commemorate the occasion. Event schedule has been sourced directly from the 'Hit the Bricks' page:
