James "Tim" Norman, owner of Sweetie Pies and former reality star of the OWN Network's reality show "Welcome To Sweetie Pies", was arrested and charged with conspiracy to use a cell phone for a murder-for-hire which lead to the death of his nephew, according to St. Louis Post Dispatch.

James and Terica Ellis, along with others, plotted to murder his nephew in exchange for money. Norman allegedly got a life insurance police on his nephew Andre Montgomery for $450,000 back in 2014. Days before Andre's murder, Ellis told Montgomery she was coming to St. Louis and on a day before his murder, March 13th, 2016, Norman caught a flight to St. Louis from his home in Los Angeles.

On March 14th, 2016, Ellis and Norman used a temporary phone to communicate at 8 p.m. - the same day around 8 p.m. Montgomery was murdered and the phone Ellis was using placed her in the area of the murder.

After the death, Ellis called Norman as she traveled to Memphis, Tennessee where she deposited the amount of $9,000 in cash in various bank accounts. On March 21st, 2016, Norman contacted the life insurance company and attempted to collect on the policy on his nephew.

Ellis was charged with conspiracy to use interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire, resulting in death.
