Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas has some big plans in store for park visitors in 2026.

Late last year, the park confirmed plans for a new roller coaster, which it described as a 'dive coaster'. Six Flags said this new style of coaster would be 'record-breaking'.

To accommodate the new roller coaster, however, the park would have to remove two of its current rides. One of those rides is nearing completion of its demolition.

We're learning more details about the new roller coaster planned for Six Flags Over Texas

A filing with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) dated January 22nd indicates that an 'amusement park structure' is proposed for a site with GPS coordinates in the same location as the park's former bobsled-style coaster, 'La Vibora.'

For reference, the tallest coaster in the US stood at 456 feet at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. The coaster was called Kingda Ka but was permanently closed in November of 2024.
