This Texas Waterfall is Just a Day Trip Away
Looking for a great day trip this Summer off the beaten path? We've done the heavy lifting for you.
Take a trip down to Dripping Springs, near Austin, TX and explore the Hamilton Pool. Whether you're willing to brave the cold water during Spring Break, or waiting for Summer, you'll need a reservation.
The pool is natural, and exceptionally beautiful including a waterfall. In order to enjoy the beauty, you'll need to plan ahead. You can make either a morning or afternoon reservation, and it must be done online the day before. You'll want to have your credit card ready, because it's $11. You'll also need to bring cash with you, because you'll have a $15 charge for your entrance.
Drinking water and concessions are not available, so plan accordingly. Travis County managers the land and placed these restrictions on visitors in order to maintain the natural beauty for generations to come.
Reservations are required to visit the pool from March 1 to Oct. 31 every year.
