Wanna be an actor? Audition For “Bus Stop” At Tyler Civic Theatre
If I were to ask you to pull out that old bucket list you wrote three, five, or maybe even twenty years ago, would I find "audition for a play" on that list? Maybe not you, but perhaps someone you know? In fact, maybe it was on your New Year's list of resolutions for 2019?
Whatever the case, the greatest adventures of our lives begin with the first step--even a small one. Perhaps this could be yours?
The Tyler Civic Theatre is holding auditions on January 14 and 15, at 7 p.m., for the upcoming show "Bus Stop" by playwright William Inge. The romantic comedy's show dates will be March 8-10, 14-17. They are looking to cast 5 men and 3 women.
Now, I understand if you're thinking "I've never done anything like that before. I don't know the first thing about an audition." Well, my friend, there's a first time for everything. Whether or not you are cast, the experience of auditioning is itself enriching and it'll make you braver, I promise. ;) If you are cast in a role, you'll have plenty of rehearsals to get ready for the shows.

Oh, and as the old theatre tradition goes, may I say: Break a leg! (Not literally, of course.)
