East Texas’ Top 10 Things to Do This Weekend
It's been one heck of a week for Texas. If you're taking a break from helping your fellow Texan, you're probably looking to spend some quality time with your friends and family. There's nothing like a disaster to give you perspective on what's important in life.
So whether you're staying at home watching movies together, going to the circus in Tyler - or you and your buddies are looking to hit the mud trails in Jacksonville followed by some great Texas music, we've got you covered in the list below.

Shrine Circus 2017
Sat-Mon - The Oil Palace, TylerThe circus is coming to Tyler this weekend, including three rings of family fun! Catch the elephants and tigers, aerial acrobatics and see the 'Jordan World Circus' act. Kids will also have the chance to ride certain animals. Online tickets are already sold, but you can buy at the venue.
The circus is in town Saturday through Monday. Here are the showtimes:

Labor Day Mud Ride
Saturday, 8:30 pm - 2001 County Road 3315, JacksonvilleIt's probably going to get pretty muddy this weekend, so why not take advantage with an epic mud run on an ATV in Jacksonville. Added bonus: Zane Williams and Jason Cassidy are playing sets at night!

First Monday Trade Days
Thu-Sun - 800 1st Monday Ln, CantonA new month is ahead of us, which means Canton's famous First Monday Trade Days is back. Their event page boasts 'cutting-edge home furnishings, antiques and collectibles that can't be found anywhere'. First Monday Trade Days dates back to over 150 years ago when the market was used to trade animals.
Each day's event begins at 9 am.

MAKE UP DATE: OPEN TAPS August
Saturday, 5 pm - True Vine Brewing Company, TylerTry some of your local brewery's current on-the-market beers or maybe some of their limited/experimental brews this Saturday accompanied with food and music.

Craft and Trade Show
Saturday, 10 am - 7 pm - Picker's Pavilion at Blackberry Square, LindaleCraft and Trade Show is moving to Lindale where y'all can find handmade crafts, antiques, canned foods, produce and more. There will also be live music and entertainment for the day. Coe out and be part of something local!

Rose City Farmer's Market
Saturday, 8 am - Noon - 7212 Old Jacksonville Hwy, TylerThis Saturday enjoy the day at a family and dog-friendly place - the Rose City Farmers Market.
Produce, herbs, wood oven breads, pastries and granola, jams, pickles, locally roasted coffee, cheese, artists and artisans, live music, and yoga on the terrace 8:30-9:30.

Deep Ellum Mimosa Walk Labor Day Weekend
Sunday, Noon - 3 pm - 2814 Main St, DallasShopping and mimosas at multiple shops in Deep Ellum? That sounds fun. Basically walk the streets, enjoy the music and mimosas, eat at the restaurants - and you'll have Monday off so no worries on sipping a little too much.
Upon check-in, guest will receive a souvenir glass, map, and wristband. It's $15 online and no other purchase necessary to enjoy the event and mimosas.

Lone Star Gun Show - Tyler
Sat-Sun - Harvey Convention CenterLonestar Gun Shows is making a stop in Tyler this weekend at Harvey Convention Center. Bring your old gun, trade up for a new one. Y'all have been to a gun show before, you know what to expect!
You must be 18 or over to enter the event unless accompanied by an adult.

Flood Bucket Donation Collection and Assembly
Sunday, 5 pm - 2 am - Redeemer Presbyterian Church, TylerIf you haven't pitched in to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey but still want to, here's one of many ways you can participate.
