As if 'Hit the Bricks,' which happens every second Saturday in downtown Tyler, wasn't fun enough already, check this out. The June 8 "edition" features the 'Texas Ice Cream Festival." Um, could life be any more perfect than being at an ice cream festival? *Ponders* Nope. I don't think it's possible. ;) Check out the ice cream and sno-cone vendors, not to mention others. And hey, you are more than welcome to bring a lawn or folding chairs, too. and folding chairs are welcome. This special theme is a fun and delicious destination for the whole family so bring everyone! However, you can always just bring yourself and make some new friends.

Typically, the day's activities start around 10 a.m., BUT NOW that the Rose City Farmers' Market is back, AND Cafe 1948 will be there with their delightful offerings, you can start as early as 7 a.m. The RCFM opens at 8 a.m., so come early to get a jump start on all of the locally-made and delicious offerings.  Activities continue throughout the day (and night). Enjoy free parking in the parking garage and on the square itself, of course. No charge on the weekends, yo. If the weather's nice, take a ride on the open-air shuttle sponsored by Tyler Innovation Pipeline. There's a range of activities to check out, restaurants to enjoy, and a live music feast for your ears.
