It usually happens to me around 2:30 or 3 in the afternoon, feeling a little sluggish and that's when I begin looking around for a way to get my energy level back up and that's when I usually turn to a Barq's Root Beer or Dr. Pepper for that jolt of energy that will get me through the rest of the day.

When Ivon Padilla-Rodriguez netted $100,000 in tuition money for winning a Dr. Pepper sponsored football-throwing contest during halftime of the SEC championship game, she was overcome with emotion.

Right after taking the prize Padilla-Rodriquez was interviewed, and the University of Nevada student showed her appreciation by tearfully declaring to a national television audience, “Dr. Pepper is seriously the best thing that has ever happened to me.”
