This week's recipient is April Stogner of Hallsville High School in Hallsville.

Mix 93-1 and Half Price Books are proud to recognize April Stogner, an English 3 teacher at Hallsville High School in Hallsville. Mrs. Stogner was nominated by one of hes students who had this to say about her:

Mrs. Stogner teaches English 3 and goes out of her way to make sure every student knows they are loved and welcomed in her classroom. On many occasions she spends countless dollars on feeding students that don't have food at home and parents are too proud to ask for assistance. She will even give her own lunch away if someone comes in and says they haven't eaten in a couple of days. Mrs. Stogner refers to her classroom as her house and the students as her family. These are not just words to her or the students. Every person she teaches knows that her room is a safe space where they can find love in the form of a hug or a can of pasta or pop tarts. This is why Mrs. Stogner should be the next Mix 93-1 Teacher of the Week.
