In psychology, there is a concept called the uncanny valley, which refers to that creepy feeling you get when you see something that looks almost just like a person’s face, but not quite. This also applies to celebrity biopics. When you watch a movie about someone you’ve seen pictures of all over the place for your entire life, and the actor playing that person looks almost just like that person, but not quite, you get the same creepy feeling. That feeling abounds in these new images from Lifetime’s Britney Spears movie, tentatively titled Britney.
First came the buzzworthy breakout of Lifetime’s “Unauthorized” Saved By the Bell biopic, then follows the horror of a Full House behind the scenes exposé, then comes the next piece of ‘90s nostalgia to chum Lifetime’s feeding frenzy. Beverly Hills, 90210 fans, prepare yourselves for the horrifically-cast “Unauthorized” movie you never knew you never wanted.
On the heels of Netflix’s plan to revive classic sitcom Full House with, uh, Fuller House, comes news that Lifetime would also like to cash-in on your nostalgia with an unauthorized Full House movie. After Jimmy Fallon reunited Zack, Kelly, Slater, Jessie and Mr. Belding I started searching for more on Saved By the Bell. YouTube was pretty helpless, Netflix had all of the episodes and a documentary.
Flowers in the Attic is returning to the screen, but this time the small screen. Lifetime is remaking the 1987 film based on the Best-Selling novel by V.C. Andrews. The story of the Dollanger family will be told more inline with the novel in the Lifetime version.
It's hard to think of Miley Cyrus as anything other than Hannah Montana, even now when she's smoking bongs, cutting her hair to look like Draco Malfoy and getting engaged to 'The Hunger Games' heartthrob Liam Hemsworth. Perhaps if she lands a gig on the Lifetime network playing one of the most infamously recognized criminals in history, she'll be able to completely break that image.
Oh, that poor Lindsay Lohan. Just when it seems her life has gotten somewhat back on track, there's all manner of hoopla placing her at odds with her role in 'Scary Movie 5,' or compounding Amanda Bynes' recent auto troubles with a light fender-bender of her own. Now, however, the spotlight truly shines on the notoriously stroubled starlet, as Lifetime has released the first official trailer for L

Lifetime confirmed that they are indeed filming a made for TV movie titled "Imperfect Justice" based on the book "Prosecuting Casey Anthony" written by prosecutor Jeff Ashton. The book will focus more on the trial and the lawyers more than Casey Anthon
It’s tough times for former ’90210′ star, Jennie Garth. First a divorce from hubby and ‘Twilight Saga‘ star, Peter Facinelli after eleven years of marriage and now a starring role in a made-for-TV movie produced by Natalee Holloway and “Tot Mom” fetishist, Nancy Grace…
It's only the biggest game in the sporting world and it'll be dominating NBC Sunday - I'm talking about the Super Bowl! However, I know there are quite a few people that could really care less that it's on and will probably be looking for something else to watch instead of the biggest game of the year (not to mention you'll be missing the commercials too)!
Several networks are dedicating blocks o
Casey Anthony, the Florida woman acquitted of killing her toddler daughter earlier this year, has repelled book publishers and movie studios who feel it would be tasteless to pay for her story — but that doesn’t mean the whole case is off-limits.
