Yesterday, Kidd Kraddick dedicated the morning show to raise money to send kids that have a chronic or terminal illness on the annual Kidd's Kids Trip to Walt Disney World in FL. Last night I was watching World News with Diane Sawyer on ABC and near the end of the show they featured a story about brothers. It wasn't an ordinary story either, it made an impact on me and got me to thinking about all the kids that are affected by a chronic or terminal illness and the charities that I and Mix 93-1 support each year, like Children's Miracle Network and Kidd's Kids.

Thanks to your generosity East Texas, 52 different families from around the nation, including 4 from here in East Texas, will be boarding a Southwest Airlines plane at Love Field in Dallas bound for Orlando, Florida for the weekend of their lives at Walt Disney World this morning. These deserving kids have either a chronic or terminal illness that they can't escape from and they'll be enjoying a free trip to Disney from Kidd's Kids along with the cast of Kidd Kraddick in the Morning.

The annual Kidd's Kids trip to Walt Disney World in Florida is coming up in just a couple of weeks with Kidd Kraddick in the Morning. The trip is for children with a chronic or terminal illness and everything on this getaway is paid for by listeners of Kidd Kraddick in the Morning. In case you didn't get to support Kidd's Kids on Kidd's Kids Day last month, you can still show your support heading to Carino's Italian Restaurant in Tyler or Longview tomorrow (Thursday).

It's the opportunity of a lifetime for families right here in East Texas and many families are going to have a ton of memories that's going to live forever. I have learned that 4 East Texas families are going to Walt Disney World in Florida as part of the annual Kidd's Kids trip. Kidd Kraddick in the Morning takes a group of children that each have a chronic or terminal illness to Disney each November.

Mix 93-1 is hosting Kidd's Kids Day 2011 on Thursday, October 6th to help Kidd Kraddick in the Morning raise money to send children with a chronic or terminal illness to Walt Disney World in November. It's the one day a year that Kidd sets aside to raise money for the charity and Mix 93-1 will be covering East Texas with donation locations at select Tyler area Burger King and Whataburger locations in Longview from 6a - 9a.

There is something about East Texans and their hearts when it comes to kids - we all want the best for them and want them to have the best life they deserve. That life is hard to achieve sometimes for children that have a chronic or terminal illness. These kids have to deal with numerous doctor appointments, tote around specialized equipment or are confined to wheelchairs and many are on some kind of medication for their illness or disease. Given the opportunity to go to Walt Disney World for a few days with their parents is priceless.

Nominate A Child For The Kidd's Kids Trip

It's an amazing sight - seeing kids smile or hearing them laugh - some parents never get to see that from their child. Fantastic memories are made each year on the Kidd's Kids trip to Walt Disney World in Florida and during this annual trip, which has been going on for 20 years, many kids have smiled and even laughed for the first time ever while on the trip. Those are the memories that families of children that suffer from a chronic or terminal illness will remember for an entire lifetime.
